MyDataOrganizer Custom Security Roles for Applications

When out of the box functionality for security of your application is not enough at that time you can build custom security model.

Security Roles can be defined.

Each Role has set of permissions.

  • Manager can Add, Modify, Delete and View.
  • Viewer can only view but is not allowed to Add/Modify/Delete
  • Worker can Add/Modify/View but can not delete.

Security Roles can be assigned to users.

User demo2 has been assigned role of worker and viewer.

  • User demo2 will be able to View/Add/Modify
  • User demo2 will not be able to Delete because it does not have Manager role required for Delete.

In Sample Approval Management Application there are following users :

  • demo2
  • User1
  • User2

Following Are all the Requests for Approval and its status at request level.

Following are all the approvers for all the requests and status of each request at approver level.

User1 sees the his/her approval actions i.e. Approve or Deny.

User2 sees the his/her approval actions i.e. Approve or Deny.

  • When all the approvers approve the request, the status at request level becomes Approved.
  • When any approver denies request then status at request level becomes Denied.
  • If request is not denied by any approver and if at least one
    approver has approved request then status at request level becomes
    WorkInProgress.
  • Each user gets Approve/Deny Action links where needed.
  • If request is denied then approver gets Approve link to approve.
  • This application can be enhanced by making the data read-only for requests which are approved by all the approvers.
  • User can filter approver line items with number of actions
    greater than zero – which will result into approver line items where
    user interaction for approval/denial is needed.

Based upon Account Priority report is created for OnTarget/Overdue Client Visits.

  • Account Priority = A and days since last visit < 20 =>On Target
  • Account Priority = B and days since last visit < 40 =>On Target
  • Account Priority = C and days since last visit < 60 =>On Target
  • Otherwise Overdue for Visit
